Interesting, Brave Search reads your browser history when using Firefox.Test:Step 1) clear cache, history and cookiesStep 2) Search "nitter"You should see results for niterStep 3) close all tabs, in current tab go to nitter.netStep 4) open new tab and search nitter again, first result will be nitter.net

@fatboy can't explain why, but I just dont trust anything that company does. In my experience my gut has been correct in these things. Doesn't mean its bad for anyone else but I have to trust my gut personally.

@fatboy quite interesting. I want to test this. I don't trust Brave at all, it's a shady company.

@fatboy Try enabling first party isolation. Mull has it enabled. Search "firstparty" in about:config in Mull and duplicate.

@fatboy I don't use brave... but what is the problem with a local app reading local cached history strings...? All happens on your own machine...

@dosch The problem is search results #1, totally inapplicable to what I am looking for, and #2 since when does a search engine need to read my cache/history to deliver me relevant search results? What's the point of typing a word in the search box?

@fatboy Is Brave Search just a website or some sort of extension?I'm pretty sure websites can't read your browser history?

@fatboy ah, so the critique is on a functionality level. Somehow I assumed it was on a security/privacy level.

@ares@Hawk1291@werwolf@doschFirefox/TorBrowser has tab isolation so its likely not what you think. What is possible and more likely is #AmazonBrave stored your session, and realised you were unhappy with the search, because you searched again and gave you a (better) search result. If niter is given, that is odd in itself.Brave is #Amazon and uses #lazyLoading to determine how far you scroll down the results page, which feeds Amazon data.#braveSearch@fatboy
