       @nixer if I remember, the new copyright holder/owner added telemetry without an opt out. I believe they also had a history of doing things unpopular with the open source community. I'm not intimately familiar with all the points though.

       @fatboy @nixer @lkhrs I also remember reading that it was only enabled if you got it directly from them. Most packagers for major distros had disabled it. Not sure how true that claim was though.
