js-only websites are also just a general constant irritation since I access some of my mail via a terminal-based client over SSH, and when it works, activating accounts by following the link in w3m is the easiest and most convenient thing to do. when it works. If the mail is sent by a halfway competent organisation it'll have a plaintext version with a link in it that I can easily copy/paste, but more and more it seems to be a stripped version of the HTML mail (having 'click here' in a text file is funny the first time but it's not helpful), which means either extracting the links from the HTML or scping the HTML body entirely is the way to go

@easrng@cybre.space tbh i think the thing to do would just be to dump the links from the html instead of viewing it at all
