       @Malternative I don't remember the exact steps I took to do that but it goes in the line of this:Step 1: Download the kernel source from kernel.orgStep 2: Download any prerequisites to build the kernel (headers, tools, etc)Step 3: Copy your distro kernel configuration into your kernel build configuration.Step 4: Change the graphics the kernel displays to symbolize the cores using GIMP.Step 5: Configure the kernel to show these graphicsStep 6: Build the kernelStep 7: Install the kernel, boot into it.

       @m4ntty It's arch linux. You don't have to compile anything but the kernel if you want to turn that thing on.
