       Got an offer for a '.com' domain name I registered about 5 years ago.I am probably going to sell it, along with the variations (.io, .xyz, .online, etc) I registered at the same time.The prospective buyer is a small web design shop, so the money won't be earth-shattering. And they got the exact same name as the one I creatively chose years ago.

       ... And the "buyer" is asking me to transfer property of the .com domain for free. As in zero, zip, zilch, nada, no money.Whaaaaaaaaat?I have had that .com for 5 years now. Paid every year for renewal like clockwork.The person in question started using the national equivalent of that domain early 2022. They don't have a leg to stand on.

       @ParadeGrotesque I mean, it's not as though you're one of those "domain campers" who goes out & registers hundreds of what he hopes will be popular domain names, in order to extort money from people in the future.Those people are pretty scummy.
