       @NotoriousDOG @Berglander Not sure where you are, but I know in New England there are several specific barn-building outfits who can put any style barn on your property. If you're into antique barns and like the hand-hewn construction, they'll do that too but I would imagine that's pretty expensive. If you have any carpentry knowledge, they're not complex to build, but difficult in their size, especially to do alone.

       I did some work for a guy a couple of years ago who had a horse barn that was built by a mennonite company. It was all 2×4 construction but it was done so beautifully, there wasn't a single hammer mark anywhere I could find where they missed a swing. Really wish I had taken pictures but the owner was there showing it to us.

       I used to do interior framing for a Timber frame company. It would be a more cost effective way to do it if you could just have them come and do the beams and timbers and then frame out the rest and do the siding, etc. yourself.
