Companies want to see projects. Stuff that you build. Languages and frameworks you know. There is nothing a college will teach you that isn't free online. There is no secret knowledge. Point is, don't go to college unless absolutely necessary. Ask around, look at job boards. See what skills are in demand. Don't go to college because that's just what comes after high-school.

Most small business owners dont care about a degree, they care about u being able to do the work. Make that happen and ur gucci. It is worth noting the tech space is in a massive bubble rn so if u dont think ur gonna be the next john mcafee, probably notnthe best choice since so many people have gotten in before u and already have the knowlege/experience u wont be able to acrue since ur late to the party. Learning it for personal use isnt an aweful idea though maybe learn about linux and command line stuffes first. Ive had to help many people learn to use basic functions on their electronic equipment just cause i know hownto use alot of the functions available and most people dont. Learn how to use ur phone amd itll put u light years ahead of most people. Its also worth noting im pretty much technologically illiterate from a coding perspective
