       What’s up with the word “coder” these days? When I was growing up, we had Programmer Analysts and Software Engineers, with various degrees of seniority. “Coder” sounds like an insult, doesn’t it?

       @damaskin Engineers and programmers do use it as an insult, for people who learned from tutorials and write shitty software as a result.
