The sailboat "Tea Cup" was launched in 1981 in Kemah Texas. Built by a 68yo retired engineer from 30 tons of concrete. His plan was to sail across the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic, and so on. Taking several years.Too bad I can't find much about it online. I did find this storyhttps://books.google.com/books?id=fe8DAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA27&lpg=PA27&dq=%22tea+cup%22+concrete+sailboat+1981+%22eugene+hartley%22&source=bl&ots=C7-5Z0YUgv&sig=ACfU3U3Rn5e3ZXx0fxNOluJ2jGqmM0m4tg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjZt6_8se73AhWPAzQIHSs0BvYQ6AF6BAgCEAM#v=onepage&q=%22tea%20cup%22%20concrete%20sailboat%201981%20%22eugene%20hartley%22&f=falsefrom the Weekly World News.I found a bit of a story from 2007 that he was anchored somewhere near Galveston TX but not much else.

@mhjohnsonMy father built a 20 ton cement sailboat in Guam in the mid 80's. We lived on it for over 10 years. It was awesome, I still wish I could go back to that lifestyle.
