THREADTrue story. This is actually connected to my earlier post where I shared a photo of a local restaurant table sign about inflation and prices.There were just two young ladies working the place. I asked about the inflation sign they have and it sparked conversation about it. That led to conversation about the current baby formula shortage. I have only read about it so far. So at times I wondered it I was just angry because it feeds my confirmation bias and hate for the current regime.

The one waitress I was chatting with mentioned that her friend working the kitchen was a young single mom who can't find baby formula right now. This brought the talk about the shortage home to me. IT'S REAL, IT'S IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. This poor girl is single and has a 6 month old baby. She came out and talked with me. She was visibly worried and shook that she can't find formula at local stores. Her baby has seizures and is on a special type of formula. SHE CAN'T FIND IT! Local or online.

And when she does they limit the amount you can buy...This was a quote from her friend their who was conversing with us and this young girl, "It's fine with toilet paper limits because you can wipe your ass with newspaper. But my friend can't feed her fucking kid with newspaper!"It seemed so surreal to me to hear all I've read be alive and in flesh right in front of me...This young mother is asking her parents to buy formula for her (if it's available) when they go to a local store.

Because of the limit per person rule. She also mentioned that she knows that people are coming across state lines to this state to buy formula. Could be people in need, could be people trying to bulk buy and scalp the prices. (Hence the limit rule that was put in place recently).She's on some gov assistance as well, but they are out of supply for the formula she needs for her baby. No help from big brother...She almost started to cry as we talked because she said she has about 5 days supply

Proud she didn't "just abort the filthy little fetus" as the left would want.Not trying to brag or virtue signal. But I did give her $20. I told her I wish I could just give her a can of formula, but this was something I had and could help her with.She said right now as a single mom an with inflation and shortages she feels like it's "every man for themselves" when she's meeting people.

@EagleEye1776 Shoot. I didn't ask specifics and we are gone now. They closed at 2 because they are understaffed. Not a bad idea though.
