@realcaseyrollins @stux it makes plenty of sense. The stakeholders of tr*th social will have wanted to protect their “investment”. Anticipating that Trump being allowed back on Birdsite they wrote this in to keep their site instantly becoming irrelevant. It’s stupid, but it makes sense.

He may not have to; fans will probably make an account that post his "truths" whenever he makes them.Part of me thinks he may sell #TruthSocial if it's not ready by the time he has to announce that he's running for president. Hopefully he sells it to somebody who decentralizes it.However, after #DevinNunes announced that #TruthSocial will launch a "web application", I bet they'll move 100% to #Fediverse code before too long.
