Oh dear... Gotta pull out my old CPU & MBD and hope to hell I can get them up and running. I have a ton of old Video to transcode, and leaving my PC on for long periods is just silly. I hope I can figure this out. Last time I tried to fire it up, it refused to boot.

Ok, Update:Multiple memory configurations; two different power supplies; 3 different video cards, and multiple CMOS resets later...No luck. Bugger

@anotherkiwiguy Have you tried another CPU by any chance? Seems like it's either this or a MB issue.

@Jojonintendo@fosstodon.org Unfortunately, I have no alternative parts. I have a feeling it's a mix of Motherboard and PSU. Motherboard might have taken a power surge a few years ago, and gotten progressively worse. It's disappointing, but not a massive problem. I think I will see if I can find a second hand motherboard.

@anotherkiwiguy Depending on the MB, sometimes there are LED indicators of the potential issue. Mine has 4 LED, to show if the issue is on the CPU, RAM, GPU or boot drive.One time it would be stuck on GPU no matter what I did and it couldn't boot, while the real issue was actually a dying HDD, I guess it could be better...

@Jojonintendo@fosstodon.org Yeah, Mine has status LED's, unfortunately, the board doesn't power on at all. The status LED turns on, but shorting the Power jumper will not kick off the POST sequence. It's ok. I'm pretty sure it's a goner. Thanks though 😄

@PhenomX6@fedi.pawlicker.com @Jojonintendo@fosstodon.org Just tested it out, it's fine. Pretty sure it's the MBD. Got a P/Supp tester here, no error. The voltages on the 5V and 12V rails are holding steady. All good. I got an older MBD/CPU combo up and running. That'll work ok. Just annoyed that I cant run my old Ryzen 7, 1700.
