       @GNUxeava Like, most of my co workers are from Punjab. Still it was like 21c out the other day and one of them complained it was too hot, but I guess sitting in a glass box without AC atop a diesel engine didn't help any of it.

       @GNUxeava Yeah 21c is nice. It'll get to mid 30s and rarely low 40's here though, and, half the year it wanders between -30c to -50c. Here is a picture of our work trucks -- but imagine these with way more rust and wear lol. Not a lot of shade in these things, they get disgustingly hot inside. They came with air conditioning but over the years they all broke (the heaters too) and no one knows how to fix them.

       @GNUxeava Well, kinda. Canada is positively huge and like only 38 million people live here. So ... yeah :blobshrug: The problem with these trucks is they are extremely specialized and comparatively rare, and nothing at all like the big semi's our maintenance guys regularly work on. They are rare enough, we -- the largest trucking company in Canada -- couldn't find one to buy in either Canada or US.Two further problems that prevent good repairs1. No one cares if some blue collar trash melts or freezes2. Repairs cost money, having workers suffer is free
