@frehi I'm curious about the need to set VDPAU_DRIVER; on my (Fedora) desktop with a Radeon card it doesn't seem to be necessary; vainfo picks up radeonsi_drv_video.so anyway.

@penguin42 Yes, I was also surprised that this does not work automatically. Without this variable vdpauinfo gives me: Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryI'm wondering whether this is a bug in Debian then...
