S.H.T.F. Scenario and now you do what? Just curious, doesn't matter if you are Christian or not. You are a prepper or not. I just want to know. The world just went to hell in a hand basket. What is your first move? Please and Thank you! #survive #SHTF #scenario

@Syberia At this point I pack everyone up and go to my Dad's. He's got his crap way more together than I do in any given scenario.

@RexRedbone Good point. It would be dangerous and it is very important to have balance as well. ๐๐

@Syberia SHTF? I guess it depends on the size of the turd. No matter what, prayer is first. I'm not a prepper but I do have a small stockpile of storable food that would get through a week or two for the whole lot of us. Beyond that it would depend on the time of year really. If the house wouldn't be habitable, I'd probably start musting a group of people at our church since there's cultivatable land there.

@Syberia eat all of my neighbors. Then when the lights turn back on and I realize it was only a 6 hour power outage I'd have some explaining to do.

@ozlo Reminds me of the plot to the Mist remake they had done. Very dark and... Messed up. I remember a guy I used to work with. He'd say "don't eat the Asians, you'll just be hungry again in a couple of hours. ๐ Strange sense of humor.

@Syberia drag the chicken coop closer to the house. Invite my oldest to stay with us, as heโs the only one of three to be counted on. Take out my closest neighbor. Heโs a piece of shit who will definitely not be safe to be around, and itโll provide a buffer, and land to double my garden size. Move everything important to the basement which is very defensible. Set up a watch rotation. Make contact with my closest friend, who is a pig farmer and discuss how to move forward.

To be perfectly honest, I maybe dig a latrine, build an outhouse over it. My better half would want to jet. So I am stuck between those two options.

@Syberia I would stay at home and not leave under any circumstances for the first few weeks at least.

@TinyHouse4Life Sounds like a good plan considering you might be out in the sticks? Just guessing. If I am right, then it really would be a good idea.

@Syberia I share an office parking lot with an ammo manufacturer. They always have interesting characters coming in and out, including ex special ops guys. I asked them one day, what can people like me do when SHTF? They told me- No matter where you live, have enough supplies for at least a week and don't even peek your head outside for the first 3 days.

@TinyHouse4Life @Syberia Iโd say thatโs a pretty good idea. Can spend those three days fortifying entry points into your house. Having a week of supplies is great, but if SHTF for real, I wouldnโt feel comfortable with anything less than supplies to stay home for a solid month. Your spot scares me though. Ammo manufacturer is going to be a HUGE early target for any group with some training.

@MountainDrunk @Syberia I just work across the parking lot from the ammo guys and only 1 morning a week. I live an hour away. I'm not leaving my house ever if SHTF. The special ops guys said if you need to bug out from your location, wait those 3 days before trying to make a move.

@TinyHouse4Life @Syberia ah, ok. I misunderstood. I thought to myself, that would be a horrible place to have to hold up if it all went sideways.
