@juliasnz @audioflyer79 Funny, the return of Q is actually the least annoying thing about this season for me. I found his initial abrasiveness quite appropriate the frustrations of a hyper-dimensional being trying to interact with limited time/space ones. If you look at the evolution of his character over the various 90s ST series, he becomes much more relatable. I especially enjoyed the Voyager series that featured his child :)

@juliasnz @strypey yeah, I think it’s a great handling of the Picard story worthy of the character. I love the new characters! But @strypey was right about the clumsy narrative devices. Oh well.

@audioflyer79 The new characters got off to a great start in season 1. I guess any personal growth or relationship developments they experience in season 2 will be about the only thing that won't disappear if they achieve their goal of restoring the timeline by season's end. @juliasnz

@audioflyer79 Pro tip about tags, I tend to separate them out a bit, eg #StarTrek #Picard . I tend to use short words and phrases for tag searches and I assume most people do the same.@juliasnz

@audioflyer79 Relationships, yes. At the end of season 1 the crew is reunited, as Soji chooses a return to La Sirena over staying with her fellow synths. We have 2 budding romantic couples forming, mentee/ mentor relationships forming between Elnor and both Picard and Raffi. Let's recap how season 2 has built on that. By the start of episode 1, Soji is off doing synth PR tours, both romances are over, and Picard is back in the winery. Within 3 episodes Elnor is dead.@juliasnz
