ok, what is the best open source alternative to #lightroom ? i need something with a non-crazy learning curve, super user friendly. #darktable #LightZone and #rawtherapee are the three i have found so far. needs to be linux/mac

@pyre35 I looked for something similar for a long time, in the end this was the only reason to keep my mac - with proprietary software Capture One - which at least is not a subscription model, but has the same elegance and functions as Lightroom.

@pyre35 I like #darktable, but you'll need to learn a bit.

@pyre35Go for Darktable. It's more mature and more easy for those coming from lightroom. Had issues on using RawTherapee and LightZone is bloated and proprietary

@pyre35 not the whole thing in a weekend, but certainly the basics are doable in a few hours.

@pyre35Maybe you could use something else, like Snapseed on Cellphone and/or GIMP on PC

@rogerrabbitcosplay snapseed is a no go as it isn't open source and is owned by google. I am looking for open source only. GIMP i've tried and unfortunately failed miserably at. The learning curve seemed to be very steep
