@bascht I do not speak German but my browser (Vivaldi - also the company I work for) will auto-translate selected text in a side panel. I use this frequently and while it has the same failing as all automatic translations it is workable for many situations if a little caution and thought is used. Thus I am not too concerned with following people who use other languages.

🇩🇪 Kontext: Ich wünschte Mastodon hätte ein Feld für die Sprache des Toots, so dass ich einfach je nach Thema die Sprache wechseln kann.🇬🇧 Context: I wish Mastodon had a field to select the language of an individual Toot, so I could easily switch languages depending on the context.

@assbach Ja genau - für manche Sachen würde ich mir auch die Mühe machen es zu übersetzen. Denke das würde sicher gut für Fediverse-Dinge funktionieren.
