A number of people have mentioned having problems with creating aliases when migrating accounts. This is a known bug in the current version of Mastodon, hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. Details here:https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/18033

@kev I'm actually having trouble moving my account (from fosstodon) to this one due to the old account not seeing the alias on THIS account. I searched the GitHub issues and didn't see anything. Is this an issue you've seen before?

@CrowderSoup the issue i linked to above isn’t a Fosstodon issue, it’s a Mastodon issue. So it affects all Mastodon instances.

@CrowderSoup @kev Have you tried adding a "@" in the beginning?

@selea @kev I have! I think the version of the new server is behind and doesn't actually support the feature, but it's using the arch package. So I'll just be patient and wait until that's updated 🙂
