@KowoolI thought i made a mistake choosing the word because English is not my first language, but after checking the definition:Propaganda: Material disseminated by the advocates or opponents of a doctrine or cause.That is exactly what it is. Wheather you like it or not. It was tutanota using their user's information (at least their email address in this case) for a political cause. Again, not cool for a company navigating with the flag of respecting user privacy. That is all I am saying. @passthejoe @Tutanota

@Divert In theory itâs probably a valid term to use (not native English speaker here either), but itâs still a little salty claiming theyâre using the email addresses of customer for a political cause. I didnât find the email so I must have deleted it and forgot about it, but I can agree that a blog post wouldâve been enough, rather than sending it in an email to all their users.

@Tutanota having recently moved to tutonata for my custom domain emails after the whole g suite legacy thing I would definitely recommend them to anybody. Great service at a great price with awesome apps for mobile and desktop! đ

@pj @rossw @Tutanota I didn't have any problems in the last year I was using the service. They also offer you five aliases, so you can have a[at]tutanota.com and b[at]tutanota.com for one price. Great for privacy.

@Divert I think Tutanota are acting responsibly by informing you what they intend to do with new subscriber funds. You can then then make an informed decision as to whether you wish to continue using them or move to another provider if you disagree with their decision.The donations are more humanitarian than political as they seek to help those people fleeing the conflict.Perhaps Tutanoto could provide an opt out for people who only wish to see admin updates.@Kowool @passthejoe @Tutanota
