       Mastodon has adopted a lot of features designed for accessibility and/or mental health prevention, please make use of them.That includes using the "Content Warning" field a lot for anything that could be sensitive, spoiler-y, or just to give a "topic" to your message.Please write picture descriptions! They're used by screen readers but also in case the image fail to load for any reason.

       If you're just joining, posting an introduction message with the associated hashtag is good practice. Put some information about yourself and people will boost (RT) that message to increase your chances of finding your own community in the network.

       You can heavily customize how / why you're getting notified by Mastodon, which allows you to make sure you're only getting the notifications you really wanna see.Use it to make the app less distracting!
