       I have the worst luck, it boots into grub fail...hmmTime to try and sort that, 1st making sure there's a boot partition instead of trusting the installer

       Arg, with default settings in the install, it installs fine and tells me to restart and then I boot to '_' when UEFI disabled or 'Reboot and Select proper Boot device' when UEFI enabled.Wtf laptop. I give up*.*for today

       booted, logged in and setting up programs 😀 It's a more comfortable distro this devuan. Has its oddities right enough but, I think it'll do for now

       @fitheach I wish to change my password and there's no GUI to do so, this seems by design too.Installing things is easy enough, thank you package managers, but adding repositories is made difficult (I can understand why but it's a frustration)Quite a few things I put into the terminal come back with "bash: <command>: command not found". Again, a frustration.Coming from an Ubuntu background, both gnome and kde, these are less user friendly than I am used to.

       @athair_birb $passwd#vim /etc/apt/sources.list"command not found" likely means there is a package you haven't installed. Any examples?Funny, these things are so ingrained in me that they don't seem user unfriendly. 😃 These aren't Devuan oddities, it will be the same in Debian. It is Ubuntu that is the oddity.

       @fitheach I thought they'd be more debian related. I've never had to use $passwd or #vim for anything relating to my linux use, believe it or not.I imagine if you're used to the commands which many are, they're very normal and intuitive.I will admit to being a newbie-style user, in that I've never learned or tried to retain many terminal commands since starting with Ubuntu in 2009.Thank you, I shall use the password command shortly 😁

       @athair_birb Gajim is another good XMPP client although I do prefer Dino.
