I stumbled upon a file containing the vowels for my conlang writing system. They build upon the observation that "e", "ə" and "の" kind of look the same.Is having all vowels look the same a good thing or a bad thing?"ə" and "e" are pronounced /ə/ and /e/ as expected. Following the image clockwise we have "9" = /i/, /ʉ/, /u/, "の" = /ɔ̝/, /ɐ/ and "6" = /ɛ/. Some variation of the pronunciation is allowed, as long as you don't merge them

"e" and "ə" are 180⁰ rotations of each other. Otherwise, I would probably only have six vowel symbols with a 120⁰ rotation. /ɛ/ and /ʉ/ would have been removed. "e" would have been any "front mid", "ə" would have been any "center mid", "の" would have been any "back mid" and I would have one that is any "open" vowel.
