I believe that humans have a lot more of an effect on their environment through their beliefs, and the reason we don't "see" any of these things that have been intertwined with mankind for thousands of years is simply because of our widespread societal indoctrination programming people from day 1 that they don't exist, closing the door on them. Doesn't matter, no one believes until they're alone in the grass 40 miles from another human and they see things that shouldn't exist. Only experience seems to humble you. Did for me. I just acknowledge that my 4th grade teacher was not an all-encompassing font of knowledge and accept that i can't dictate reality
