       @Mek101 "Ethical software" isn't just a sad joke, it's a class of proprietary software licenses that are opposed to the four required freedoms.>According to one very clever person I wouldn't call this poster very clever at all, as they managed to confuse "open source" with free software by falling for the quite confusing "FOSS" term.They are correct that "open source" as a movement is failing to do as it intended, as it focuses 100% on technical success - so if there is any failures in the software, people see no reason not to go back to proprietary software (other than price, but unauthorized copying lets you avoid that by paying another price): https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.htmlThe free software movement has succeeded, as a fully free operating system has been constructed and is quite usable.Sure GNU/Linux isn't as popular as proprietary OS's, but we don't care about popularity - even if one single person is able to achieve software freedom, we have won.Of course, the battle is just getting started and "open source" is being used as a weapon against us, but we will never surrender or give up, no matter how many laws the enemies of freedom break in their efforts to stop us.
