       I'm currently trying to find other women of color on the fediverse so I went to the #woc hashtag.It's mostly just a bunch of lewd anime pictures lmao. What the else did i expect from the Internet and especially the fediverse of all place. I truly hate being a woman sometimes.

       I see this a lot with subreddits too. Female celebrity subreddit? Mostly just thirst posting pictures. Male celebrity subreddit? Deep analysis of their works and other discussion.

       @joel not sure if that's a "thing" or not. I often wonder about this, why women are more likely to seek out other women who are similar to them, at least compared to men.

       @joel haha I like that theory. strength in numbers!thinking on it more, maybe it's because being not only a woman but also a person of colour is like a double whammy in terms of discrimination that often inform each other as well. and maybe woc like to seek out people who have lived similar experiences? but there are ways men are discriminated against too. maybe women are affected more because it's more like systematic oppression.idk the real answer but it was interesting to ponder!
