@dave I use twitter and fedi for different things, twitter is the best way to follow artists (from Japan) Fedi is essentially the new chan boards, which is how I want to talk about shit. Unless twitter goes back to the level of freedom back when you could shitpost and say nigger twitter is always going to be the place to look at art. The shutting down of political speech thing is just a consequence of private companies being allowed to decide who isn’t allowed on their networks, but because they’re basically the only game in town and they all have headquarters in the same liberal shithole (and therefore employees with the same politics), you’re getting the same standards enforced on everybody that aren’t representative of the country at large, and certainly not of places outside the USA.Technically, your free speech rights aren’t being violated when you get kicked off twitter because the 1st amendment only protects the government from punishing or censoring speech, not private companies.

@guizzy @roboneko @Hyolobrika @Moon @dave Catching (((protected persons))) in the act of literal pedophilia and murder doesn't seem to do much, so it kind of doesn't matter how clear the legal language becomes regarding the many existing laws that have already been broken by Twitter.
