I mean they are 1,069 stainless synthetic and 1,099 for a stainless/laminate. The thing that made them attractive in the 90's was the cost compared to the AR. A mini was 400 bucks, and an AR was 800+. Hell I would rather pick up a M1 Carbine for 1k than a Mini, at least have some historical value to it.

flatter shooting, better accuracy, better ballistic coefficients due to smaller bullet, it is generally hotter so more speed to get the same energy as a 30 cal. thus shorter travel times. It was designed in 2007 to take advantage of the newer powder burns, vs the 308 being designed in the 1950's. Overall it really is a better cartridge. The primary downside if you pick one up is ammunition availability. There are ass loads of 308/7.62x51, not so much of the 6.5C.

But none of your other guns or your friends guns take it. Good luck finding them if/when shit hits the fan. Creedmoor rifles are expensive wasteland clubbing devices.Good rule of thumb is to stick to guns that fire rounds you're likely to find in your neighborhood.

Both are going to force you into cover quickly. Both have 50+ years of continuous combat and operational use in the field. Its a preference, I prefer the elegance of John Stoners design over the heavy lump of communist bullshit. That said I own both, but I'm grabbing my AR every time I need to innawoods.
