In case anyone wants the best ragu recipe đInstapot Ragu3-4 pounds short ribsAvocado oil, or any neutral oilsalt and black pepper1 small yellow onion, diced fine2 medium carrots, diced fine2 big cloves garlic, minced3 tablespoons tomato paste2 tbsp flour1 tablespoon smoked paprika1 cup beef stock1 cup red wine, something big like a cabernet would be perfect2 tablespoons soy sauce3 or 4 thyme sprigs1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley Trim ribs of excess fat, a little is fine a lot is notOil lightly, then season liberally with salt and pepperUse the browning setting and brown ribs on all sides â youâll probably need to do this in a couple batches so you donât over crowd. So do that and then set them asideTo about a tablespoon or so of the remaining grease in the pot, add the onion and carrot and cook until just beginning to soften, about 3-5 minutesAdd garlic and cook about a minute, then stir in the tomato paste â cook about a minuteSprinkle with flour, stir well to mix in, then add the paprika and mix well Pour in the beef broth and wine - bring to a simmer for 5 minutesAdd the soy, then return the short ribs to the cooker with their juices, top with thymePut on the lid, and set it to high pressure for 45 minutesWhen done, let the pressure release naturally Turn the cooker to simmer, remove the beef, shred it, return to the pot and let simmer 5 to 10 minute or until just slightly thickenedServe on pasta, topped with some parmesan cheese and a little parsleyRT: https://nicecrew.digital/objects/11e3eb8a-6151-496a-9412-d3820624d3f6

Let me know what you think! You can also use chuck roast and cut it into chunks if you can't find short ribs.

Yea was thinking that, just picked a chuck roast up this afternoon. But it won't match the flavor from the bones.

That's what I would suggest saute everything exactly the same as the recipe and then put it in a 300° oven for 2 hours with the lid on then cook it for 1 hour with the lid slightly askew to let it vent a little bit of the liquid but not so much that it dries out.
