make up whatever fruit syrup you're going to use and drop the dough in it so it cooks with the fruit syrup in it. that's why it would probably have to be with another fruit and then just bake the bananas in with it when you're doing the top crust

My great aunt's pies were famous. And I mean famous, like boomers on Facebook whom I've never met sometimes randomly bring up her pies and talk about them. I have the recipes, but when she said "one cup" of something, she wasn't saying "8 ounces," she was saying, "fill up this random cup I use to measure stuff." And nobody's ever been able to duplicate her pies.Any time I go to an estate sale and find a cookbook for sale that is full of notes by a prolific home cook, I buy it and read the notes. We need some kind of universal grandmother knowledge management system. And we need it before grandmother knowledge is just an archive of their onlyfans.
