It's been a crazy week and my back pain is causing numbness in my lower leg and foot. I'm seeing an orthopedic surgeon today and I'm nervous. Sigh. I don't need to be as it’s mainly a consultation...

So, nothing on the X-rays so I have to get an MRI. I'm waiting on that to be scheduled. He mentioned a possible pinched nerve but obviously won’t know until the MRI.I miss my Quod family, but sometimes the pain is too much. I'm hoping to be at the VIP tonight.

@umad80 It’s scary if you don’t know what to expect. I had a Microdiscetomy at 53. L4/5 disc. 2 level fusion at 55, C4-5/5-6. Still running 2,150 miles a week moving pallets in the trailer daily, delivering hardware, at 61 years old! Hit me up with questions my Quod Friend!

@umad80 There are a lot of unnecessary appointments and tests involved in the process. If your pain is too bad to enjoy something as simple as a Y boob conference, it must be 8ish or worse on the 1 out of 10 scale. You poor girl. I'm so sorry for you.

@watch4thedrop @umad80 Drop, I read recently there is a movement to lighten up on the Opioid restrictions. I don't know how true but the crack down has bee a classic throw the baby out with the bathwater story - it is a bitch for people with chronic pain. It doesn't work well, but is much better than nothing.

@umad80 I was having problems with my neck and back some months ago.Started a therapy in a Neuromuscular Massage Center in AZ. I also added stretching and yoga everyday to my daily workout. I feel great.Neuromuscular massage was a game changer for me. Pain totally disapeared.

@joebennett @umad80 I haven't heard anything about lightening up restrictions. if anything, they are adding more drugs to the restrictions list. gabapentin, tramadol, etc. Pretty soon everything is gonna be a controlled substance

@watch4thedrop Just ibuprofen. If pain is bad, I do three. I have a high threshold for pain, so I'm not doing that often.
