Saw this on Facebag. I was born in 1980, so I guess this makes me a millennial?? 🤔Doesn’t seem right to me. No one seems to have the date right though. Some sites say they start at 81’ and others just define it as “someone born in the early 80’s or 90’s”. That’s pretty broad! I always hear @adam and @Johncdvorak mentioning millennials but they sometimes use it for people in their mid 20’s, who I thought were GenZ??🤔 I’m either a confused GenX’er or a confused millennial. 🤣

@DameAshley Team '80!! 😆Like Aric said, the defining characteristic is supposed to be remembering before the internet, and that's how I grew up. We even had a rotary phone! And I had to look things up in the dictionary. If I wanted to know what was on TV (all 3 channels, because we lived in the country and didn't have cable), we looked in the TV Guide. I've heard the term Xennial to refer to us, which I think fits. We don't fit in either group. @shill

@b10m I use 65-81 for X. 1980 is conveniently round but turning 18 in 2000 seems to be the real line I've noticed, making millennial start in 1982. There's kind of a blended microgeneration between 1981 and 1984 or 1985 that still played outside and got left home alone and didn't get the internet until later.@DameAshley

Since then it seemed to get stretched to 80 or 81, and then the “older millennials” happened and messed everything up. It now can stretch to 85, and millennials from 80 to 2004 in extreme cases.

@DameAshley a generation is 20 years. Gen X starts mid 1964 as they were in the same school grade as 1965 births, so it would end around mid 1985.
