@The_Nutcracker Poast has a cleaner interface and is far more responsive, especially with the realtime updates. On the other hand, "that other place" has a separate page that shows all poasted media (Poast is limited to just the nine last poasted media).

@The_Nutcracker There is no comparison IMO. Poast works and gab doesn't. The groups were a nice add on and I miss them for what they were (A nice place to see people I didn't follow and find people to follow) but functionality is king and poast works. Also I can follow Twitter accounts on poast by adding @twtr.plus to a twitter user name and that works as well. I basically get to use twitter while denying them the advertising $$ they so desperately need. It's a special little middle finger to Jack and the globohomo ass hats who control him and I love that.

@The_Nutcracker It gives me old 7chan vibes. A smaller group, some talented people and a great variety of interests, but even now I can see a very obvious sense of community. That's great imo. Gab was great too, in a busier type of way. Plenty of lolcows, but that was also a signal that it was infested with aids.It'll be a good place to raid, going forward.

@The_Nutcracker A bit of a upgrade. The site works better and smoother. Poast has fewer options like groups but does emotes very well. Can save gifs and see boobies is a big plus. Much less toxic environment than Gab, but some of the same trash that ruined Gab for me are here too. At least I can block who i don't want to deal with. I can see room for improvement here where Gab failed at.
