@SuricrasiaOnline yeah... shellPalace really pulled ahead after that, shameful. was sure we'd see a win from sponge this year after the staggering consistency but just *barely* sub-par pathing and domain knowledge we saw from them in last year's endurance runs.

@syntacticsugarglider just goes to show how fast knowledge dissipates without constant drilling. should've done that instead of all the linksys 550-cr router configuration speedrunning they do on their justin.tv account. though tbf they are getting pretty good at that

@SuricrasiaOnline yeah idk like, on one hand what happened to serfish was horrible, like, the stress involved really messes with the players and it's good for them to get away from that, have a balanced life... but there's like, a beauty to the sport, right? and that's important, and at a certain point we have to ask ourselves... what does purpose look like? like, when do we decide at a community that to earn their keep they need to push the boundaries harder? i don't know

@SuricrasiaOnline christ i don't know if i'd go that far, after what happened last june? i don't think we're ready for that as a society, let alone the consequences on a personal level. there are still things we have to protect, there's a sanctity of human participation, right? this is a sport about *people competing*, when you start to blur the lines of personhood then i think it's a slippery slope to some really scary things.

@SuricrasiaOnline there should at least be some sort of process where we figure out if this is right for people... i've known people who have regretted it and feel trapped, they resort to obliteration because they don't have a body to return to. and i'm sorry but i think that's not worth the chance of it happening any more.
