What is the longest length a username should be?i just realised the Ampache username column allows 255 characters!

@ampache 255 characters long limit?! 🤯 It's not like you want to do a new Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch[1] 😬I always have set the limit to 20 characters. Everything above that is too long in my eyes, even if 20 characters are too long to start with.[1]: https://largest.org/geography/city-names/

@edgren I haven't changed the database a lot since i took over a few years ago but i was going to at least cut it to 64

@ampache I'm curious how you'll go about doing this. I suppose you could first disallow creation of new accounts exceeding 64 chars. Then it would be a case of giving good deprecation warnings to those with installations.

@arious first up limits on the api and the HTML site for creation.There's a function for warning messages as well which will be used for admins.Then I'll keep it open until ampache 6 where it gets cut back.Give everyone a good few months and then cut
