@Gina Can you shed any light on the Dutch proclivity for renting out flats without floors? I mean, where did that come from? No furniture, fine. No curtains, sure. No major appliances .. a bit odd, but okay. But no floors? Seriously, how did that become a "thing" here?And do Dutch renters really "un-lay" their floors and take them with, when they move every year or two? Can you even do that?

@GinaAh, I see.Think positive:When I was a carpenter apprentice, "click laminate" wasn't a thing. You had to apply glue to every board and hammer it in place (without destroying it, of course). You had to be extra careful with the first three rows and also clamp them together - because if you messed these up, the whole floor had open joints.Nowadays laminate lays all by itself! 😉
