If I am right (and I may not be), Putin is seeking to restore the borders of the pre-1917 Russian Empire.That means that any nation within those old borders is at risk. After Ukraine, it makes sense that Putin will target the easiest first.The next card to fall may well be Moldova. @REX Yes, with Moldova it's going to be easiest for them, as there already is a region there, Transnistria, that wants to be separated from Moldova, and supported by Russia in doing so.In fact, Transnistria was the name of the area to which my Grandmother's family was deported in 1940 (though it's a different region, near Mohyliv-Podilskyi). But I digressed...So I agree, that Moldovans should perpare for the day the Ukraine conflict is declared over...@TerriC @Debradelai @Karl_W_Braun

@REX All of the world must stand up and be counted at this moment. Putin has to be set to the side and made the pariah he has chosen to become. Every nation must stand up to this show of miserable aggression & pick a side now. Putin has to be ostracized worldwide until heeled unto peaceful relationships.

@REX I still find it hard to believe they didn't just concentrate on the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. A Pyrrhic victory in Ukraine looks more and more (to me) like the best they can hope for, and if so, well then Putin may have to chose to retire.
