Now you may see that as insanity.Hitler's grandiose visions are seen that way, these days. As were Napoleon's. And the list goes all the way back to the Caesars and before that, to the Persian Kings. The point is that the world we live in is in many ways defined by men such as Putin. In other words, saying Putin is insane is kind of besides the point. Maybe he is, maybe not. All I know is that he is being very open about what he wants. Ukraine is a starting point. He isn't stopping.

So the only question is 'how do we stop him?' Appeasement will not work. We have learned this so many times, it seems incredible that our elites always forget it.Sanctions will not work. Putin has definitely planned for every contingency on that front.So, first thing to consider - pour troops & weapons into western Ukraine.Ditto, all NATO / western friendly nations in Eastern Europe. Especially Poland, Finland, Romania etc. Increase the risk to Putin to an extent where he is deterred.

Second, place nukes in Poland. They're the only nation that can be trusted with them. But it will send a very loud message to Moscow. Third, sanction any western business enterprises who does business with Putin's government. Trump did this to great effect with Nordstream 2.Just those 3 immediate measures would likely deter Putin's expansion to the west. He would have eastern Ukraine, but no more than that.Longer term - immediately start using nuclear powered energy all across the West.

Also, decrease reliance on energy from Russia. Sorry, Greta T, the situation is too serious for decadent western pseudo-religious babble.Related - the US must increase energy production for itself and create exports for allied nations. Open up shale, fracking, oil and gas. It is insane that this is not being done.That's just a few of many ideas.
