@Andre This is why I kept telling my civil service family to hold the line and not comply. Most of them caved. They taught my kids one hell of a lesson though.None of them plan to work for the government in any capacity. The two that were considering the military and/or police work have chucked all the pamphlets they&#39;d collected about those options into the trash.They will be the first in four generations not to serve in any capacity. Oh well.

His grandfather and father were Judges and his father is considered to be one of New Zealand’s finest jurists.Now we have to pray that his judgement survives any appeal and continues to influence other decisions (precedent).One brick at a time. The conversation was very pleasant compared to the previous visit where he repeated every talking point of the news media. He never backs down, and I always had a comeback line (unless I am tired) and he knows it. I told him last time that mutations usually gets milder with each variations and that original covid was a lab based.

When he left, his wife asked, and said I know you have a plan, are you going to reveal that kids are not vaxxed. I said no, because he is not emotionally ready. I have to get him thinking first and it will take several weeks. He is stubborn and tell them not to tell him, yet. I need him to back up his media claims. @Limerickman I think you did a good job. You can&#39;t force a person to change their mind but you can at least help them connect the dots. It seems to me most people struggle with connecting ideas without outside help. He can&#39;t unsee the dots you connected. Now it&#39;s just a matter of whether he accepts it or rejects it. @lynnmedichi He had a lifetime trusting mainstream media. I had to start making holes. It takes time. People once they emotionally invested, it is hard for them to breakfree. My awakening from mainstream media was caused by travelling and coming across areas of travels where conflicts in the past. Despite been an introvert, I talk to locals who are willing to talk. I usually asks questions about their food, etc as ice breakers etc. My trip to isreal in 2005 was my breaking point with media.

I had a certain independent interest in politics due to family (grandparents) split across civil war era political parties. I like to map things in my mind. I remained an independent politically. Choosing least worse in a bad bunch on elections. Not much choice for an independent until recent years.
