       also, are lead bullets actually that dangerous in terms of toxicity?like, lead is bad, yeah, but:- it's a fairly unreactive metal- when it's in your body your immune system quickly walls it off

       @chjara I know a nature reserve that used to be an army shooting range and exercise field. They had to get rid of a lot of soil, because it was contaminated with lead.

       @chjara i got terribly sidetracked while scrolling deep into the federated tl to find something and here's one paper on the subject https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4001953/basically it's subtle and complex and poorly studiedand generally not to be relied on to contribute to any stopping power
