@MoralPanic on some level, that's basically it. The reason they can't do it with Charlie Kirk is that he basically already has this brand of "respectable reagan style conservative young guy" that isn't going to appeal to a bunch of edgy online kids raised on 4chan and pre-google youtube. What I suspect happened was they saw Nick was able to appeal to that market and while he would say some pretty tasteless stuff and flirt with "bad" ideas, would never actually go anywhere. Sure, he talks about jews every now and again in this sort of vague abstract sense, but Chabbad-style guys and their buttgoys are willing to put up with a lot of stuff if they get what they want in the end.

@shitgrifter It's like that quote about even the most ardent communist being somewhat impressed with hierarchical status. Regardless of how ostracized by soyciety they are, conservatives will gladly lose their last shred of dignity just to have some sort of semi-sanctioned outlet for their dissatisfaction with the system. Ultimately, their unwillingness to become pariahs and outsiders outweighs whatever feelings of resistance they might harbor for the system. The tragedy is, they will both become pariahs and none of what they hope for will ever come to pass.

And if there are teachers who pretend to like him, he's just hyper.
