       Slightly awful thought: It’s a shame that JoinDiaspora is probably going to get shut down before the platform ever fully adopts the capability to migrate all of your stuff to another pod.

       @zatnosk Groan... 😅I loved the ideas behind Tent a lot, but I kind of felt super annoyed by the guy running it. They had no interest in anything being done with the fediverse and insisted it was obsolete and not worth their time.Worse yet, they had total "Not Invented Here" syndrome, where they basically wanted to reinvent the wheel and only use their own technologies.It's funny to think that the obsolete network eventually outlasted them and basically implemented a handful of their good ideas.

       @heluecht Hopefully! Last I heard, only the domain was secured, not the plans to fund and maintain a server with 300,000 people on it.

       I just stumbled upon this thread. As we know by now, the server will eventually shut down and people will be able to export their data during some period. After this period the site will become a static page.Also sadly the maintainer of pluspora died several weeks ago, so that the server will be shut down in a few weeks as well. And the server pod.tchncs.de will be shut down in a few weeks as well.
