If the Linux distribution you're currently using has major issue and needs extra resources to fix it, would you rather...#Linux #Libre #FreeSoftware #GNU #OpenSource

@unfa I'd like to pick option A - but I feel my talents would generally be insufficient.I'm on Debian, and if Debian people can't fix an issue, then I certainly can't.Unless it's an ideological complaint, in which case, I'd switch distros, with no hard feelings.

@unfa depends if if the problem is in something I have any experience with. If it's a kernel bug, I'll wait and see if someone else fixes it

@ChrisWere @unfa I had a pretty tricky issue that turned out to be my own stupidity on Fedora. It would have never been solved of I didn't ask how I could help resolve it :coolcat:

@ChrisWere Sometimes even users who can't code or manage packages could for example crowndfund paying a specialist to do some necessary work to fix a burning issue.

@unfa Under those circumstances I would choose option A for sure.

I use Linux as my major OS since last century. The only one major issue and needs extra resources to fix it, is systemd.I just don't use systemd, problem solved. :blobcatderpy: @unfa
