       FYI, police departments that say they are “monitoring online activity” are just reading Facebook. The smaller the Dept the more likely this is. Sometimes even with their own personal accounts and sometimes informants give them theirs. They don’t have some clandestine application or elite IT staff.

       I’ve worked with cops for a decade and never met one that even knew what a packet sniffer was and the amount of work I’ve seen them do to get an IP address was ludicrous. Yes at the state and fed level they have some people but they are doing the load of the rest of them like the forensic kit backlog.

       @EvenkeeldFYI NAS is monitored on the federal level. I have had DM's from minutes old accounts that were trying to get me to escalate rhetoric following the occasional super spicy post.
