       YouTube's comment section is broken and so is their notification system. It seems like the goal is to not have people really socialize on the platform but just consume content. I don't know if people realize this though because they still treat like social media when its not.

       @coolbsd youtube is even resentful about having subscriptions at all. Why aren't you only watching what their algorithm pushes at you? Why can't their service be a single television channel with content decided by your biometric reactions to content, with 30s adverts every six minutes?If they had any other vision than that, there'd at least be user categorization of subscriptions.

       @coolbsd I don't. I read the comment section and sometimes I engage, but it's not like a proper social media experience. I have absolutely no interest or attachment to the people with whom I'm reading or engaging with.
