@hastur Naming is hard, ask any good programmer, we have to come up with ones all the time to embed in out code. Focused on your problem, the same for good entrepreneurs coming up with company and product names.Affordable makes it harder when you’re talking about domains, especially since a lot of boutique TLDs are run by very unprofessional people (see the fate of neckbeard.xyz).Might be easier if you gave us more clues about what you’re trying to accomplish, but mostly I’d say you need to find a trusted circle of people who are good verbally and savvy about how names sound and brain storm with them over a period of time (this is the sort of thing that can work well asynchronously, for example get people thinking about it for a while then let names bubble up when they’re doing something else, then email to the group etc.).And do all your checks to see if a name is taken using whois and then maybe if its for sale trying it or www.[it] in a browser without touching a domain name registrar, some have been known to front run their customers. Also check to see if it’s a registered trademark in your country etc., checking is free in the US.
