@amolith@mk.nixnet.social Although it's a tad myopic, I get the view for some people. Specifically, if you're not even slightly technically-adept, but you run a small business that caters to local customers, then I can see why you'd look at websites as unnecessary overhead when facebook offers a page and minor local marketing for free, essentially.

@amolith Social media is the worst place to store information, that would be horrible.And having so many businesses rely on third party platforms is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention, I don't want to have to use fucking Facebook and Instagram.

@gemlog@tilde.zone yes, the moment passed, i wasn't actually going to strangle him :gura_laugh:i just kinda laughed, said "sure", he said that websites are too difficult to edit, i said it depends on what system you use, then my client came back with my check, saving me from potentially getting into an argument with his customer :P
