Another Installment on Dealing with Fear and Stress As part of my recovery from COVID, I’ve noticed I’ve been shedding a lot. I didn’t know if it was related to Prednisone, a steroid I was Rx’ed during my illness or what, so I did some research. It’s called telogen effluvium, which is higher than normal shedding, not uncommon after going through a fever. I would have freaked out about this ten years ago and did when I obsessively started paying attention to my hairline.

I started to look into treating it because I was told years earlier that Male Pattern Baldness is inherited from the maternal grandfather. Of course, he was at about a Norwood 5 by his mid 30s. I was around a Norwood 2-3 in my mid 20s.

I’m now in my mid 30s and my hairline is about the same. There’s some scarring in the corners, but the hair is still thick and long. I never partook in Rogaine or Propecia.

I knew the risks would involve side effects like…problems below the belt. Also, you have to use it them daily or you lose what you gain and they do nothing for the hairline. Even then, your body gets used to it and it doesn’t work as well.Instead, I changed up my hair are routine. Used shampoos without parabens and other chemicals and settled on Trader Joe’s. I also throughly brush my hair and manually detangle. I also do scalp exercises on and off basis, though I could be more consistent.

The one thing that makes my hairline look worse than it really is, could be my head shape. I have a long forehead. Almost a five head, sorta like Christina Ricci, except I’m a dude in case I didn’t mention it before.Actually, this was more of an excuse to share a pic of her. Hoo boy!

I’m not singling anyone out, because A LOT of people tend to share these articles and agree with them because it goes along with what they want to hear. We all tend to do it with any issue.Yesterday I had to correct the fundraising statistics of a candidate I support, because the numbers didn’t match up to what I researched. Is there a possibility that those numbers are wrong? Maybe, but I owned up to being incorrect.I didn’t let my disappointment ruin my day, either.

How the hell did I go from talking about hair loss to getting on about people constantly living in fear?Because I was living in fear about my body, but stepped back and stopped stressing. That may have helped me. I didn’t do experiments to prove it, but I just didn’t worry or care.

@JFAnon @Davez_Not_Here @Argentum47 I played with him back around 2002 on both days of a Weekend in Phoenix... he smoked me and my 2 colleagues... well by 10 shots... he shot 70 and 72 I think... We met him at his restaurant Cooperstown and he just invited himself to play with us...lol Camelback and Troon We played...He sighed a menu for my wife at the time, who liked Michael Bolton... "Dear Diana, Micheal Bolton Sucks, Love Alice" lolGreat guy, person and golfer...

@icare4america @JFAnon @Argentum47 He's a great golfer, hosts and plays in a lot of tournaments for charity. Does a lot of work with kids too, especially the at-risk ones. Supposedly his kids are well-grounded too. His wife is a saint too, helped him get through his alcoholism. Genuine guy, warts and all.Camelback and Troon are serious courses too, two of the better ones in town.Only been to Cooperstown a few times before games but it's actually good.

@icare4america @JFAnon @Argentum47 I need to confirm this but this is what I heard.Before the Diamondbacks came into being, Scottsdale hosted the Giant's farm team the Firebirds. They had a mascot named Phineas who did all sorts of stunts at games.Supposedly it was Alice Cooper.
