@uniq Maybe more devs should stay away from there. It sounds somehow masichistic: you pay an entrance fee (EUR 50/USD 50 for the developer account if I'm not mistaken) to get kicked out for unknown reasons, camouflaged as "policy violation". To me that sounds like Russian Roulette: you pay your part of a bullet that might hit you.

@Beowulf Das war der Preis vor 10 Jahren. Kürzlich las ich etwas von USD 50. Für das beschriebene Prinzip aber egal. @uniq

@IzzyOnDroid @uniq Ah OK, nicht mitbekommen, dass sie es erhöht haben...Und ja sie behandeln die Entwickler wie Dreck. Hatte auch mal ~3Monate E-Mail Kontakt mit ihnen um eine App in den Store zu bringen. Eine Begründung wieso sie nicht rein darf gab es nie (war dann aber irgendwann auf einmal akzeptiert)Es kamen immer so schöne Aussagen, von wegen der PC sagt nein, warum weiß ich nicht, aber er sagt nein, also nein.& die erste Antwort war immer von nem Bot...

@Beowulf @uniq Von daher, liebe Devs: Macht Eure Apps #foss und bringt sie zu F-Droid. Wenn das nicht vollends gelingt, gibt es noch mein Repo. Werden auch dessen Aufnahmekriterien nicht erfüllt: Macht doch einfach Euer eigenes Repo auf, oder tut Euch mit anderen Devs für ein solches zusammen. @uniq I always got their keyboard from Fdroid so no issues here. Why would people use the Play Store when they didn't have to ?

@PublicNuisance I get your point, because I'm an avid #FDroid user too. The thing is. Getting a phone that runs FDroid is not easy. It might seem trivial for people with technical background, but there are billions of people without. So they have to use whatever comes pre-installed with their phone.

@PublicNuisance @uniq Because 99.999% of all #Android users have never in their lives even heard of #FDroid.Or the possibility of installing #apps from anywhere else than the #GooglePlayStore.If you told them about #FreeSoftware or #OpenSource, they wouldn't even know what you're talking about.
