For example, the main character Denji loses a lot of blood every time he uses his chainsaw abilities, and some characters summon and make contracts with demons, but it's a two-way street. They have to give up something rating from years of their life to body parts

@mute_city @vrilcloussy @Vulkan69 That's good. I watched like 5 eps of jujutsu kaisen and was not impressed. I know it takes more time to "get good" as my friend says, but honestly I already have an idea of where the story will go. It's always>dopey main character>no parents>has an incident and gets super powers>probably wasn't supposed to>joins a secret order of people with super powers>enter two side kick characters>two episodes where they go on "missions" to establish these sidekicks>another mundane mission>turns out this is bigger than we thought>sensei character informs them of a greater enemy>probably has a backstory involving this enemyand then at this point it starts to get unique and entertaining. But it's tedious getting there. I also heard Demon Slayer was good but slow the same way.As you can see I haven't been up to date on anime in a few years

@mute_city @vrilcloussy @Vulkan69 As much as I dislike the formula, I still love it once it starts picking up steam. I eat that shit up. It’s a specific brand of Shounen that gives me that. I think it’s the strategy-based superpower fights, like Jojo, HxH, even MHA. Jujutsu Kaisen is probably right up my alley in that regard.But while they feel good it’s still really shallow and feels like the author is just vomiting onto the page most of the time.
